Kamal releases Shobhana's Maya Ravan DVD

Legendary actor Kamal Hassan released the DVD of former actress turned classical dancer Shobhana's dance drama DVD Maya Ravan at a colourful function recently.

Shobhana, who made debut in films opposite Kamal decades ago, has enthralled scores of art lovers with her live musical dance ballet in English few weeks ago. Now she has taken steps to ensure that the ballet is available in DVDs too.

Launching the DVD and presenting its first copy to Member of Parliament, Kanimozhi, Kamal Haasan said, “Art and marketing are like oil and water. Only good cooks can mix them both, and Shobhana is one such person. She has learnt dance well and also knows how to take it to the masses."

Kamal also mentioned that he is one of the great fans of Ravan! It sounds like the passion of a great hero towards a great villain.
