Lakshmi Rai back to Kollywood

A few months ago, it was said that Lakshmi Rai, the Belgaum beauty had moved to Mumbai, and that she was keen about entering Bollywood.

However, now she is doing a Malayalam film. As there is a shortage of heroines in Malayalam film industry either because they are married or have moved to the Tamil film industry to join the league of Nayantara &Co - Lakshmi Rai has offers pouring in, especially after her link up with Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

It has now been announced that she will play Jeevan's lead girl in a sequel to Naan Avan Illai. The actress is currently finishing up Muthirai and Vamanan. She is also trying to play down her Malayalam films instead of revealing her Bollywood connections.
