Mathiya Chennai: Film with a difference!

Mathiya Chennai, the film mainly focuses on the struggles of slum dwellers who are always inseparable from the city.

The film crew met the press yesterday at Four Frames and shared their experiences related to their debut movie.

Vivekanand and Veerasingam, the director duo and former assistants of Parthiban and Bharathiraja told that the film would make waves in the Tamil film industry.

“We are fighting within the system to give a new meaning to Tamil cinema. It is an unusual attempt with a different script", says Vivekanand.

Jayanth and Ramya play the lead roles and ace actor Prakash Raj appears in a crucial role.

According to Veerasingham, “Prakash Raj is the backbone of our film, truly." Charlie and Ganja Karuppu take charge of the lighter part of the film.

Maestro Ilayaraja scores the music and recently he completed 5 tunes for the film. Karthik Raja handles the camera works.

Rajesh J Chandan is producing the film on behalf of his Rafter Media Films.
