Nayantara declines Mani Ratnam's offer!

Recently actress Nayantara said No to Mani Ratnam's much hyped Tamil, Telugu and Hindi trilingual film Raavan.

Sources in the industry have said that the actress was approached by Suhasini Mani Ratnam with an offer to act in the mega project as Raavan's wife Mandotharai. However, the actress was unable to accept the offer, due to the minimal scope for her character in the film.

Nayantara said, “Yes it"s true. Suhasini Mani Ratnam called me when I was in South Africa, shooting for Aadhavan, featuring Surya. They wanted me to do Mandodhari"s role in Raavan. However, I haven"t been able to accept the offer because of date problems and some other personal reasons. It"s a great honour to have got an offer from Mani sir. But unfortunately, situations have stopped me from accepting it."
