Priyamani gets rid of award winning actress tag

"Yes... the National Award has put quite a lot pressure on me. But that doesn't mean that I should do performance based roles alone.." says Priyamani in her recent interview.

After having completed her portion in ace film maker Mani Ratnam's Ravan, the actress is now attending the shoot of her debut movie in Kannada titled Ram with Puneet Rajkumar.

Answering the critical questions regarding her sexy, semi nude appearance in Drona, the actress has said that her 'costume' (is there anything like that?!) and appearance are hailed by the audience a lot and there is no wrong in wearing bikinis, if the role needs it.

"Performance based roles come your way once in a while. But commercial cinema is very important and I don't want to lose my chances. Thats why I really want to come out from my award winning actress image. I"m looking at striking a balance by doing commercial cinema too.."
