Rajinikanth releases SP Muthuraman Biography

The biography of veteran film director S P Muthuraman, penned by Ranimaindhan was released on Tuesday at a simple function in superstar Rajinikanth's residence in Poes Garden. Titled AVM Thantha SPM, the book was released by B Srinivasan, publisher, 'Vikatan" group of magazines and Rajini received the first copy. Film producer AVM Saravanan, VSV of 'Vikatan" Prasuram and Ranimaindhan were present on the occasion.

The book vividly describes the experiences of SPM since he joined AVM as an editing apprentice. His rise as an editor, assistant director, director and his experiences with almost all the leading artistes of the 1960s to 90s were thoroughly covered in the book.

The filmmaker has the unique credit of directing a maximum number of Rajinikanth movies (25).
