Think Ramya Krishna and we think of of the self-centred, egotistical Neelambhari of Padayappa. After achieving great fame in her movie career as heroine, sexy item girl (Maggie in Panchathanthiram) and featuring in characters with grey shades, this dusky beauty of Kollywood ventured into the mega serial slot in television too. And guess what?
Recently, Kalasam, the teleserial in which she leads the cast and handles the creative side of the production, has touched the 150-episode mark. In the recent Kalasam press meet, Ramya seems quite happy with the high TRP ratings for her serial and looks forward to completing 250 episodes successfully. Kalasam, with many interesting twists and turns, has the famous Neelambhari character too in the story. In addition to the slightly older Neelambhari character, Ramya plays the role of the adventurous protagonist who breaks through the maze of trials and tribulations and tears off the masks of many wrongdoers. The serial, directed by Abdullah is produced by Keerthana and Ramya's sister Vinaya Krishnan.
