Mani Ratnam gearing up for his next film

Ace director Mani Ratnam has fully recovered and the shooting of his forthcoming film Ravan (Ashokavanam) is to commence 20th of this month. Starring Vikram, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Bachchan, Priyamani and others in the lead, the call sheet given by Aishwarya Bachchan for one month got wasted because of the postponement of the shooting. But Ash was promised to give extra days, just to show her regards on Mani Rathnam.

Now the director will be gone for the shoot of Ravan in the dense forest of Kerala next week. A doctor will be also accompanied with the director for few days, as Mani rathnam's family sources say. Meanwhile, the director is getting ready with his next script for the next project, reportedly titled as Rukhmani.

According to the sources, the story is a whole some village subject. AR Rahman has already composed one song for this film.
