Censor board denies certificate to Thambivudayan!

By By: Settu Shankar

The regional censor board in Chennai has denied certificate for M Theaters' forthcoming controversial Thambivudayan, a film dealing with the sensitive Cauvery river water issue. The film has newcomers Aditya and Manisha in the lead.

According to the script written by debutant Raja Mahesh, the hero fights to get Cauvery water in some illogical and illegal method.

As per sources the censors have objected to certain scenes in the film like where the hero kidnaps a minister and his daughter and uses them as hostages to bring around the troublesome politicians to get their demands. The Censor board chief and its member felt that those scenes would bring more trouble in the highly sensitive cauvery issue.

So they have strictly denied certificate to this film.

Now both the director and producer have decided to approach the revising committee to get the certificate without any cuts!
