Vijay tends an apology to advocates

By By: Settu Shankar

Leading hero Vijay, who is now facing 13 different defamation cases for his portrayal of advocates in Sivakasi, has expressed his regret at the Madras High Court.

When Sivakasi was released more than two years back, advocates all over Tamil Nadu had initiated separate defamation proceedings against the actor, producer (A.M Ratnam) and director (Perarasu), claiming that the legal fraternity has been wrongly projected in the film.

After years long battle, finally Vijay, Ratnam and Perarasu expressed their regret and said “if any part of the film directly or indirectly hurt the feelings of the advocates" they are sorry for it!

Accepting the regret, Tamil Nadu Advocates Association wanted the court to pass a detailed order so as to ensure no similar incident takes place in the future.
