Vijay,
one
of
the
leading
stars
in
Kollywood,
announced
yesterday
that
he
has
not
got
any
idea
of
either
joining
the
Congress
Party
or
launching
a
new
one.
Yesterday
the
actor
made
an
attempt
to
clear
the
confusions
prevailing
around
his
career
and
political
moves
at
a
media
meet,
but
pathetically,
it
leaves
more
confusions
on
the
same.
On
Sunday
(Sep
13)
afternoon,
he
organized
this
meet
at
his
JS
Kalyana
Mandapam
in
Vadapalani
to
make
certain
clarifications
regarding
his
'so
called
entry
into
politics
as
made
out
by
the
media'.
Vijay
at
the
meet,
said
that
he
has
no
intentions
of
joining
politics
immediately
and
would
like
to
concentrate
on
his
film
assignments.
However
the
actor
added
that
his
Makkal
Iyyakkam
is
here
to
stay
and
all
his
welfare
activities
would
continue
through
his
fans" clubs.
It
was
a
third
person,
a
neutral
guy
who
took
him
and
'guided
him' to
meet
Rahul
Gandhi.
"After
this
meet
I
was
impressed
a
lot
with
Rahul
Gandhi's
vision
to
construct
a
new
-
strong
India.."
Vijay
confessed.
But
he
refused
to
reveal
the
'talks
and
political
agreements'
that
took
place
between
them
in
the
meet
and
abruptly
said
that
'mostly
it
was
about
his
movies!'
The
press
conference
ended
unexpectedly
because
SA
Chandrasekaran,
the
father
of
Vijay,
forced
media
people
to
leave
this
matter
at
this
juncture.
According
to
the
close
sources,
Vijay,
39,
is
still
in
the
top
heroes
list
in
Kollywood
and
seems
to
have
decided
to
focus
on
his
movie
career
for
the
time
being.
It
is
also
alleged
that
he
has
'faced
pressure'
to
stay
away
from
Congress
and
other
parties,
otherwise
his
movie
career
would
be
at
risk.
Remember,
Vijay"s
next
movie
Vettaikaran
slated
for
Diwali
release
has
been
purchased
by
Sun
Pictures,
a
family
organisation
of
Tamil
Nadu
Chief
Minister
M.Karunanidhi!
