Ameer's Yogi is the urban Paruthiveeran

Ameer, one of the most talented creator of Kollywood has opened the screens of his much awaited debut film as hero, Yogi!

The film directed by Subramaniam Shiva is a story that takes place in an urban slum. According to the script, Ameer plays Yogeswaran alias Yogi and fights for the cause of the slum dwellers.

The film took 161 days to shoot on an estimated cost of Rs 11 Crore .

"When you see the movie you will realize the reason for the high cost of production. Chennai locations are really very expesive than abroad", Says Ameer.

Madhumita is the heroine and Yuvan Shankar Raja"s songs are said to be a major highlight. The film has four outstanding songs and Ameer has sung one of the songs. Almost 20 people are introduced in the film and lyricist Snehan plays an important character in the film for the first time.

After this film, Ameer will launch his magnum opus Kannabiran, with Jayam Ravi.
