on
Wednesday
(August
4)
at
AVM
Rajeshwari
theatre
in
Vadapalani,
Chennai.
The
muhurat
was
a
low
key
affair
as
no
top
stars
from
the
Kollywood
were
invited
for
the
function.
Director
Venkat
Prabhu,
V.K.
Rathinavel
of
Cloud
Nine,
SPB
Charan
and
other
technicans
of
the
film
were
present.
Actor
Ajith's
journey
in
film
industry
started
exactly
18
years
ago
(August
2,
1992)
in
the
film
Prema
Pustakam.
So
the
movie
bosses
decided
to
launch
Mangaatha
on
the
same
auspicious
day.
The
regular
shooting
of
the
film
will
start
by
this
month
and
the
major
part
of
the
film
will
be
shot
in
abroad.
Telugu
actors
Nagarjuna,
Manchu
Manoj
Kumar
are
playing
the
key
roles
in
the
film.
But,
they're
yet
to
finalize
the
female
lead
and
soon
they
will
announce,
director
Venkat
Prabhu
said.
Earlier,
Neetu
Chandra's
and
Lakshmi
Rai's
names
were
doing
rounds
for
the
female
lead
in
the
film.
Dayanidhi
Alagiri
and
Vivek
Rathnavelu
are
jointly
producing
the
film
under
the
Cloud
Nine
banner.
Yuvan
Shankar
Raja
is
scoring
the
music,
Shakthi
Saravanan
is
handling
the
camera,
K.
L.
Praveen
is
the
editor
and
besides
direction
Venkat
Prabhu
has
penned
the
story,
screenplay
and
dialogues
for
the
film.
