CIFF attracts South biggies

The eighth edition of the Chennai International Film Festival, which was started in Chennai on 15th of December, promises the best of world cinema to the audience. Big personalities of South Indian cinema graced the red carpet to be a part of the inaugural day of the function at the Woodlands Theater in Chennai. Shankar, K Balachander, Sundar C, Sarathkumar, Vikram and Madhavan, Mani Ratnam and others were present on the inaugural day.

According to reports in the media, more than 125 films from by 43 countries around the world will be showcased in various theaters till 23rd of this month. This is for the first time in the history of the International Film Festival that 26 Indian films will be screened, 12 of which will be Tamil films.

Apart from the Woodlands Theater, the Woodlands Symphony, the Chennai INOX and the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce auditorium are screening the films.
