Endhiran The Robot : First Indian movie to shoot at Machu Pichu

The word 'impossible' does not exist in Rajinikanth's films and it is proved again. Rajinikanth's latest movie Endhiran has been shot at Machu Pichu, the protected heritage site in Peru. It has become first Indian movie to be shot in this exotic location.

Earlier, the bosses of Hollywood movie Quantum of Solace wanted to shoot at this place. But the Peruvian government had denied them permission. Now, many Hollywood and Bollywood filmmakers have been left with wonder after Rajini's movie got permission to shoot in this location.

However, very few films have been shot at this pre-Columbian Inca site. Secret of the Incas, The Motorcycle Diaries are the some movies, which had got permission to capture this Historical Sanctuary.

The song 'Kilimanjaro' featuring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Bachchan was shot at Machu Picchu. Sources say that Indian High Commission helped director Shankar in getting permission from Peruvian government.
