Kanchivaram wins Best Film Award

South Indian biggest film award function, 57th Idea Filmfare Award(South) was held in Chennai on Saturday(August 07). The star-studded night saw Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam film fraternity coming together for the event.

Priyadarshan's period movie Kanchivaram won three awards in Tamil category. Prakash Raj's role as a Vengadam in the film Kanchivaram and actress Shammu, who played Prakash Raj's daughter in the film, bagged 'Best Actor' and 'Best Supporting Role(female)' respectively.
