Gautham
Menon's
Hindi
version
of
Vinnaithaandi
Varuvaaya
has
been
finally
shelved
after
being
in
the
news
for
over
six
months.
The
director
has
finally
made
his
mind
on
the
project
as
the
lead
actor
Prateik
Babbar
has
walked
out
of
the
film.
According
to
reports,
Prateik
was
not
happy
with
the
way
things
have
changed
since
he
agreed
to
act
in
the
film.
Gautham
has
been
facing
the
problems
from
the
day
he
announced
Vinnaithaandi
Varuvaaya
remake.
First,
he
had
signed
Trisha
Krishnan,
who
had
also
played
the
female
lead
in
the
original
version.
But
due
to
date
issues
she
opted
out
from
the
film.
Later,
Amy
Jackson
was
roped
in
as
her
replacement.
However,
the
director
finally
dropped
the
project
and
decided
to
concentrate
on
his
other
movies.
Now,
he
is
gearing
for
his
next
releases
Nadunisi
Naaygal
and
Veppam.
