Hindi VTV is not shelved, says Gautham Menon

Filmmaker Gautham Menon has said that Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya Hindi version has not been shelved. He has clarified that the project is not dropped, but would take some time to commence.

He said, “We have already completed the pre-production phase and we were supposed to kick-start the shooting by December. Since, Prateik Babbar got occupied with the promotional campaigns of his upcoming release Dhobi Ghat produced by Aamir Khan and directed by his wife Kiran Rao.So, we have postponed the shooting."

“Amy Jackson underwent vivid training for past one month as we rehearsed some scenes as well. Once, Prateik Babbar is back from the promotional phase, we"ll start working on the film.", He added.

Earlier, rumours were that the project has been dropped due to some creative difference of opinions between Gautham Menon and actor Prateik Babbar.

The movie is produced by Gautham Menon"s Photon Kathaas Factory in collaboration with Fox Star Studios.
