Gautham Menon kick-starts Hindi VTV

Winning critical acclaims in both Tamil and Telugu, the best romantic entertainer of 2009 Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya will now have its way into Bollywood.

Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon has now commenced the filming of Hindi version of this film in Chennai. Bollywood actor Prateek Babbar, son of veteran Hindi actor Raj Babbar, is playing the lead character with Trisha Krishnan enacting the same role of Jessie.

Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya was simultaneously released in Tamil and Telugu titled Ye Maaya Chesave (Nagarjuna"s son Naga Chaitanya and Samantha played lead characters) on February 26. With the Telugu version being ennobled as a passable entertainer, the Tamil version successfully crossed 125 days in theatres of Chennai.

The film is about an aspiring assistant director, who wants to make it bigger in film industry. When he comes across a beautiful girl (Trisha), his life undergoes a vivid change as he has to decide between accomplishing his dreams or his ladylove.

Hindi version will have the same technicians including academy award winner A. R. Rahman scoring music with Anthony (Editing) and Manoj Paramahamsa (Cinematography) working together.

The film is produced by R.S. Infotainment in association with Photon Kathaas and Mumbai"s Purple Arts and the shooting has started this morning in Chennai.
