ilayaraja
said

on
Monday.
Speaking
at
the
inauguration
of
the
eighth
annual
music
festival
of
Sri
Bhairavi
Gana
Sabha,
the
legendary
composer
praised
the
compositions
of
composers
Saint
Thyagaraja
and
Muthuswami
Dikshathar.
Raja
sir
said
their
'krithis" were
soaked
in
'bhakthi"
and
even
the
mere
rendering
of
krithis
of
the
great
composers
would
help
one
borne
as
musicians.
Encouraging
aspiring
musicians
to
learn
music
with
reverence,
he
said
musicians
must
be
modest
and
not
measure
the
amount
of
knowledge
they
have
acquired.
He
also
presented
various
awards
on
the
occasion.
