Veteran

Kamal
Hassan
has
contributed
a
lot
to
the
Indian
cinema.
The
actor
has
acted
in
Hindi
aswell
as
all
the
South
Indian
languages.
Now,a
film
festival
titled
'Retrospective
of
Kamal
Haasan
Films" has
been
organized
in
New
Delhi.
A
three
days
festival
is
held
from
2nd
July
to
4th
July.
Union
Information
and
Broadcasting
Minister
Ambika
Soni
will
be
inaugurating
the
film
festival
at
the
Siri
Fort
Auditorium.
The
festival
will
screen
seven
movies
of
the
actor
and
entry
is
free
for
the
public.
Hassan"s
Hindi
film
Hey
Ram
will
open
up
the
festival
and
other
six
movies
which
will
be
screened
are
Tamil
movies
like
Virumaandi,
Anbe
Sivam,
Thevar
Magan,
Nayagan
and
Dasavathaaram
and
one
Telugu
movie
Sagar
Sangamam.
The
Padma
Shri
award
winner
made
his
debut
in
film
as
achild
artiste
at
the
age
of
4
in
the
Tamil
movie
Kalathur
Kannamma.
The
film
was
released
in
12th
August
1959
and
he
won
the
Best
Child
Artist
for
the
film.
Haasan
holds
the
record
for
winning
nineteen
Filmfare
Awards
in
five
languages.
He
reeived
his
last
award
in
the
year
2000
and
he
requested
not
to
consider
him
for
further
awards.
