Karthi does dual role in Siruthai

Karthi"s upcoming film Siruthai is getting ready to hit the screens this Pongal. The producers are promoting the film vigorously as they claim that the movie as a very special project in the actor's career.

Karthi will play the role of a pick pocketer named Rocket Raja, while the other character will be an IPS officer's role named Rathinavel Pandian. The film revolves around a small time thief in Chennai, who along with his friend Pattu Poochi (Santhanam) are indulged into petty thefts. He becomes completely perplexed, when a small girl claims him to be her dad. Later, he realizes that he has identical looks of Rathinavel, who has been the saviour of innocent villagers of Devipatnam. But his rivals kills him and finally Rocket Raja completes Rathinavel's mission by putting an end to realms of baddies.

The film has Vidhyasagar's music. Na. Muthukumar, Pa. Vijay, Vivega and Arivumathi have penned songs. Cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Shiva of Shouryam and Shankam fame makes his debut directorial in Kollywood with this movie.
