Meet Shankar's 3 Rascals

After much-speculation and hype, director Shankar has finally zeroed in on 3 Rascals cast. He has roped in Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth for the Tamil version of 3 Idiots.

Actor Vijay will play first lead, which was played by Aamir Khan in the original version. The actor was the first person to give the green signal to act in the film. But Shankar took much time in finalizing the second and third lead characters.

Finally, it is Jeeva and Srikanth, who has bagged the roles in the film. However, the director had also approached Madhavan, Siddharth and Silamabarasan for the key characters of the film.

Actress Ileana will play Vijay's love interest in the film. Sathyaraj will portray Ileana father's role, which was played by Boman Irani in the Hindi version. Harris Jayaraj is scoring the music, Manoj Paramahamsa will handle the camera and the movie is produced by Gemini Film Circuit.

The movie is all set to launch on December 6.
