Films
with
newcomers
have
instantly
worked
wonders
as
the
audiences
have
welcomed
them
ardently
for
their
substance
and
presentation.
Indeed,
in
the
past
couple
of
years,
we
have
witnessed
many
films
with
new
actors
and
technician
rocking
at
its
best.
Debutant
P
Ilayakavi
seems
very
self-assured
about
his
dexterity
in
filmmaking
as
he
asserts
that
Porulu
will
be
a
trendsetting
film
in
the
history
of
Tamil
Cinema.
The
film
Porulu
is
reported
to
have
recorded
the
realities
prevailing
amongst
the
slums
in
northern
Chennai.
To
make
the
scenes
look
real
on
screen,
filmmaker
Ilayakavi
has
opted
to
shoot
the
film
at
real
slums
in
Chennai.
Apart
from
producing
this
film,
Ezhumalai
performs
lead
role
in
this
film
with
Renigunta
fame
Theepetti
Ganesan
performing
an
important
character.
Another
highlight
of
this
film
is
about
music
director
Soundaryan
making
his
comeback
after
a
long
sabbatical.
The
ace
musician
had
grabbed
everyone"s
attention
with
some
of
his
best
showpieces
including
K.S.
Ravikumar"s
Cheran
Pandiyan.
The
movie
was
launched
recently
here
at
Chennai
and
shooting
is
expected
to
begin
from
next
month.
N.
Saravanan
has
been
signed
to
handle
the
publicity
works
for
this
film
and
rest
of
the
technicians
are
Sai
Suresh
(Editing),
Ganesh
Raja
(Camera),
Ghajini
fame
Kumaran
(Stunts)
and
Seenu
(Costume).
