Raj
TV
has
got
the
Tamil
television
rights
of
Mani
Ratnam"s
Raavanan
from
its
producers
Madras
Talkies
and
Reliance
Big
Pictures.
According
to
the
industry
sources,
the
rights
were
sold
for
a
whopping
Rs
5
crore.
Earlier,
there
was
a
big
competition
among
all
Tamil
channels
to
buy
Raavanan,
after
seen
the
wide
publicity.
But
the
big
price
fixed
by
its
producers
kept
them
out
of
the
race
in
the
initial
stage.
But
finally
Raj
TV
get
the
rights
of
Raavanan
for
this
heavy
price.
It
is
second
highest
price
paid
for
a
Tamil
film
after
Rajinikanth"s
Sivaji.
For
Raj
TV
which
is
having
a
limited
viewers
in
the
state,
would
become
a
boon
to
increase
the
TRPs.
Remember,
Raj
TV
has
already
entered
in
film
production,
but
failed
to
achieve
anything
in
the
trade.
Now
it
trying
their
luck
with
Raavanan.
