Rajinikanth's Endhiran rocks at overseas BO

Rajinikanth"s Endhiran made an earth-shattering opening on day one all across the globe. It drew full houses from its very first show from Gurgaon multiplexes in Harayana to Nagerkovil, the south tip of Tamil Nadu. In overseas markets, the film created a new history on the opening day.

According to the box-office reports, Endhiran (Robo) has raked more than Rs. 205 crore on the very first day itself. It has taken the best ever paid previews in UK and US on Thursday night by surpassing the collections of any Hindi film in 2010. In Mumbai, the movie has fared well and the Telugu version has also been declared a hit.

In Tamil Nadu, Endhiran has got the best ever single day opening for any film in Kollywood history, while in Kerala from 128 screens the film has opened bigger than a Mohanlal or Mammootty film.

The National media has gone crazy about Rajinikanth. News channels like NDTV, Times Now, CNN IBN and Headlines Today conducted half an hour “Robot-Special" with their entertainment editors flying in from Delhi and Mumbai to capture the Rajinikanth phenomenon in Chennai on release day.
