Ratha Sarithiram overseas rights sold for record price

Tamil
overseas
rights
of
Surya-Ram
Gopal
Varma
's
dream
project
Ratha
Sarithiram
has
been
sold
to
Malaysia-based
company
for
whopping
Rs.4.5
Crore.
With
this,
Surya
has
broken
all
his
previous
movies
overseas
price
records.
Recently,
Raktha
Charitra,
the
telugu
version
Ratha
Sarithiram,
was
procured
by
Happy
Movies
Banner
for
12
crores,
which
also
includes
satellite
rights.
The
movie
was
jointly
bought
by
C.
Kalyan,
Raj
Kumar
and
Chinna
Vasudeva
Reddy.
The
trilingual
movie
is
based
on
slain
Andhra
Pradesh
political
leader
Paritala
Ravindra,
which
is
depicted
by
Vivek
Oberoi.
Surya
plays
as
a
Maddelacheruvu
Suri-
a
factional
leader
and
Priyamani
plays
as
his
wife.
Shatrughan
Sinha
enacts
the
role
of
Late
Chief
Minister
of
AP
N.T.
Rama
Rao.
Kannada
actor
Sudeep
is
also
doing
pivotal
role.Kota
Srinivasa
Rao,
Radhika
Apte,
Raj
Babbar,
Zarina
Wahab
and
others
are
in
the
cast.
The
movie
is
expected
to
hit
the
screens
in
mid-September.
