named
CNN-IBN
Indian
of
the
Year
2010.
Actors
Aamir
Khan,
Rajinikanth,
Salman
Khan,
director
Vikramaditya
Motwane
and
Shillong
Chamber
Choir,
which
won
India's
Got
Talent
2010,
were
also
in
the
race.
Shankar
was
chosen
after
going
through
four-tier
selection
process.
Firstly,
The
IBN18
Editorial
Board
listed
the
nominees.
Then,
the
jury,
which
comprised
of
many
prominent
Indian
personalities,
ratified
the
list
followed
by
voting
by
the
Electoral
College
along
with
Citizens
of
India.
The
director
will
be
honoured
on
December
12
in
New
Delhi.
The
47-year-old
director
made
his
directorial
debut
with
Gentlemen.
Till
date,
he
has
directed
10
movies
and
now
he
is
gearing
up
for
his
first-ever
remake
film
Moovar.
