Simbu to be rechristened as STR

The evergreen superstars N.T. Rama Rao and M.G. Ramachandran turned the spotlights with their fancy abbreviated titles NTR and MGR. Now a young superstar is all set to join the bandwagon as he requests his fans to call him STR, in near future.

The grand success of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya has gained appreciations from nook and corner of the globe and Silambarasan is flying with laurels. Recently, the actor was about to fly down to UK for the shooting of his upcoming film Poda Podi. As he applied for Visa, the actor was asked to write his complete name. Just as the officials saw the full name Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendran, they suggested him to keep it as STR as it sounds quite similar to MGR and NTR.

Apparently, Silambarasan adhered to this striking name and has now made official announcements requesting his fans to call him STR in future. Also, the actor is planning to get himself in lots of social activities as the service institutions have requested him to support their causes.
