Tamil CCL team is ready

When it"s time to celebrate the ICC World Cup 2011 for the cricket buffs, here comes Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). Well it"s something really special to look upon as the two religions – cricket and films will come together.

Celebrity Cricket League involves 4 teams – Bollywood (Mumbai Heroes), Telugu film industry (Telugu Tigers), Kannada film industry (Bangalore Stars) and Kollywood (Tamil Superstars). Tamil team has been formed under President of South Indian Artists Association, Sarathkumar's guidance. The first season of CCL will have 6 league matches followed by grand finals.

Recently, a press meet pertaining to the Kollywood cricket team was organized by Sarathkumar and his wife Radhika Sarathkumar (CLL secretary) along with the co-founder Vishnu Vardhan Induri. The team members of Tamil Superstars are expected to be Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Shaam, Abbas, Vishnu, Vikrant, Narain, Ramana, Hamsvardhan and many more. Surya is expected to be the brand icon of this team. Captain of the team is yet to be finalized.
