Vijay donates 108 cows to the needy

Actor Vijay has donated 108 dairy cows to the needy people of Udumalaipet, Tiruppur district. The actor, who is currently filming Velayudham at this village, gifted them during Diwali festival.

Sources have claimed that the actor's association and producer Aascar Ravichandran have equally funded the money for this worthy cause. Speaking at the occasion, the actor said that the cows would help their families and hope that it could improve their financial condition.

However, Jayam Ravi's directorial Velayudham features Vijay, Genelia D'souza and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. The movie has Vijay Anthony's music and Priyan's photography. The movie is expected to release in early 2011.
