Vijay's Velayudham launched in style

Vijay"s 52nd film Velayudham was launched this morning at the Centenary Hall in Madras University with thousands of Vijay fans gathering for the occasion. It turned out to be a lavish affair with the fans being gifted with T-shirts worth Rs 1000/- along with Mutton Biryani. The fans were overjoyed with Vijay"s gestures and sung his praises as he stepped onto the dais. Genelia D" Souza and Hansika Motwani as well as the film"s technicians were present at the event.

Addressing the crowd, Ilayathalapathy Vijay thanked his producer Aascar Ravichandran for hosting this grand occasion. Said Vijay: "I never come across celebrations on such a grand scale in so all the years that I have worked in film and working with Aascar Ravichandran is like winning Oscars…"

Filmmaker Jayam Raja said that Velayudham will be a sensational hit in 2011 as they have been adding many interesting elements to attract the audiences. Music director Vijay Anthony said that he was overawed by the racy pitch of the script.
