Asin back in Kollywood through 'Bodyguard' remake

South Indian actress Asin makes her comeback in Kollywood with Vijay"s remake of Malayalam movie Bodyguard. As known earlier, the Malayalam film featured Dileep and Nayantara in lead roles. With the film turning to be one of the biggest grosser at box office, Vijay couldn"t refuse the offer of Siddhique for remaking this film.

Earlier, producer R.B. Choudary of Super Good Films was supposed to produce the film, but seems like there has been a change in plans. Now Sivaraju Venkatraju of Geetha Chitra International, who has previously produced Vijay"s Priymanavale in 2000, is going to produce the film.

It"s worth mentioning here that Vijay and Siddhique have earlier delivered a mind-boggling family entertainer Friends, which is considered as all-time favorite of film buffs. Vijay and Asin have already worked together in a couple of blockbusters– Sivakasi and Pokkiri.
