When Dr Abdul Kalam wished Dr Kamal Hassan

While his mobile phone kept ringing all through the day with birthday wishes, Kamal Hassan had a special caller, who made the Universal star to be overjoyed! Well, the former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam phoned the Tamil superstar to greet him on his 57th birthday.

Reports say that Dr APJ Abdul Kalam called Kamal Hassan yesterday and wished all the best for his future endeavours. The actor, who was not expecting it, was surprised to get the call from the former President. Though he received wishes from top politicians, Kollywood bigwigs and fans, the actor felt this was a special call, as he has high regards towards the former space scientist.

Meanwhile, Kamal Hassan in his statement thanked his fans for their wishes. "For those who adore and admire me, I would say lets live a life with a meaning. We should leave behind not scare but a symbol that would speak a lot of our contribution to the society."
