him.
The
actor's
movie
Mangaatha,
which
was
released
on
Wednesday
(August
31),
has
got
biggest
ever
opening
for
a
Tamil
movie
in
the
2011.
Trade
analysts
say
that
Mangaatha
ran
to
packed
houses
in
Tamil
Nadu
as
well
as
in
Malaysia
and
Singapore.
The
occupancy
on
its
first
day
stayed
around
90
to
95
percent,
claims
a
source.
The
Tamil
movie
did
not
have
competition
from
any
other
movie,
which
helped
it
to
do
a
roaring
business
at
the
Box
Office.
As
a
proof
for
the
hype,
the
shows
of
Mangaatha
started
around
5
AM
at
some
theatres
in
Chennai.
The
movie,
which
was
released
in
more
than
350
screens,
has
reportedly
saw
100%
collections
in
most
of
the
cinema
halls
in
the
capital
city
of
Tamil
Nadu.
Industry
insiders
say
that
a
last
Tamil
movie,
which
received
such
a
grand
opening
was
superstar
Rajinikanth
starrer
Endhiran.
Happy
producer
Dhayanidhi
Alagiri
shared
his
joy
with
his
fans
on
Twitter.
He
wrote,
“I'm
a
Proud
producer
who
can
walk
with
my
collar
high
for
giving
such
a
movie
which
has
satisfied
Thala
fans
n
all
who
had
put
money.
Mangaatha
has
got
the
biggest
opening
!!!
