Amy
Jackson
has
been
keeping
a
low
profile
after
her
debut
Tamil
movie
Madrasapattinam,
which
was
a
superhit.
Recently,
she
was
spotted
at
Deiva
Thirumagan
audio
launch
and
opened
up
on
her
Bollywood
launch
pad,
which
is
a
remake
of
blockbuster
Vinnaithaandi
Varuvaayaa.
Amy
Jackson
has
said
that
AL
Vijay
suggested
her
name
for
the
Hindi
version
of
Vinnaithaandi
Varuvaayaa.
Gautham
Menon
finalized
her
after
taking
a
few
screen
tests,
recalls
Amy.
The
actress
could
not
expect
more,
as
it
is
a
tailor-made
launch
vehicle
for
her.
It
may
be
recalled
that
Trisha
Krishnan,
who
played
the
role
of
Jessie
in
Vinnaithaandi
Varuvaayaa,
was
signed
for
Hindi
version
of
the
film.
But
later
she
walked
out
of
the
project
citing
date
issues.
However,
Prateik
Babbar
is
pairing
Amy
Jackson
in
the
film.
