Popular
South
Indian
actress
Asin
Thottumkal
is
reportedly
back
in
the
team
of
Tamil
Superstar
Rajinikanth's
forthcoming
movie
Rana,
which
will
be
directed
by
Dashavatharam
fame
KS
Ravikumar.
If
sources
are
to
believe,
the
actress
will
play
the
second
heroine
in
the
movie.
Earlier,
Asin,
Trisha
Krishnan
and
Anushka
Shetty
were
reportedly
approached
by
the
bosses
of
Rana,
when
Deepika
Padukone
failed
to
match
her
dates
for
the
film.
But
later,
Deepika
accepted
to
play
the
first
heroine
by
re-adjusting
her
dates.
Now
sources
claim
that
Asin
has
been
roped
in
for
second
female
lead
in
Rana.
Both
Deepika
and
Asin
are
basically
from
South
India
and
with
their
excellent
acting
in
Bollywood
films,
they
have
won
the
heart
of
audience
in
the
North
too.
Now,
sources
claim
that
their
involvement
would
add
value
to
Rajini's
multicrore
project,
which
is
being
made
in
Tamil
Telugu
and
Hindi.
However,
movie
Rana
is
a
period
film
and
Rajinikanth
will
be
seen
in
a
triple
role.
It
is
jointly
produced
by
Eros
International
and
Soundarya's
Ocher
Studios
Private
Limited.
AR
Rahman
will
score
music
and
Ratnavelu
will
handle
the
camerawork
for
the
film,
which
is
currently
in
the
pre-production
stage.
The
shoot
is
said
to
be
starting
in
March.
