Sun acquires Avan Ivan theatrical rights

The theatrical rights and the satellite rights of Bala's upoming Tamil movie Avan Ivan, which was censored recently, has been acquired by the Sun Pictures. It will release the movie worldwide on May 20.

The Sun Pictures, which is known as a marketing giant, has already started Avan Ivan's promotions on its television channel. Industry insiders say that the Sun TV has the highest Tamil viewers and it is a good decision from the makers of the film to sell it to the Kalanidhi Maran owned channel, as it gets good publicity for Aarya and Vishal starrer film.

Kalpathi S Aghoram produced Avan Ivan is directed by Bala. The movie features Aarya, Vishal, Janani Iyer and Madhu Shalini in the lead roles. Surya and Reema Sen have guest appearance roles in the film.
