Deepika Padukone likely to star in Vijay's next

Deepika Padukone, who has signed Rajinikanth's prestigious project Rana, seems to be the most wanted actress in the Tamil film industry as well. After makers of Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroobham, now the movie bosses of Vijay starrer Maalai Neram Mazhaithuli are keen to cast her opposite Kaavalan star.

The Bollywood actress has been recently approached by AR Murugadoss for his proposed Maalai Neram Mazhaithuli. It is said that Deepika Padukone has shown interest towards the project but she is yet to sign on the dotted line. Reports say that the talks are in early stages and nothing has been finalized yet.

Maalai Neram Mazhaithuli is jointly produced by Vijay's father SA Chandrasekhar and Aascar Ravichandran. The mega-budget film has Harris Jayaraj's music and Nirav Shah's cinematography. It is expected to take-off in October 2011.
