After
much-delay,
the
title
of
Vikram's
upcoming
movie
was
zeroed
in
on
Deiva
Thirumagan.
The
makers
of
the
film
took
time
to
give
a
suitable
title
to
the
film.
But
now
it
has
landed
in
controversy,
as
a
caste
group
has
raised
an
objection
over
the
title.
The
Thevar
community
has
urged
the
makers
of
the
film
to
change
the
title
claiming
that
it
is
the
name
of
their
late
leader
Pasumpon
Muthuramalinga
Thevar.
They
added
that
it
is
an
insult
to
their
leader.
Hence,
they
demand
for
the
change
of
the
title.
The
community
has
been
backed
by
the
Shiva
Sena.
It
has
requested
the
state
government
to
intervene
and
resolve
the
issue.
Earlier,
Deiva
Thirumagan
was
reportedly
titled
Deiva
Magan,
the
name
of
Sivaji
Ganeshan's
yesteryear
blockbuster.
But
it
was
dropped
after
the
Sivaji
Productions
claimed
that
it
registered
the
title
for
the
launchpad
film
of
legendary
actor's
grandson.
Later,
it
was
also
rumoured
that
it
was
christened
as
Pitha.
Finally,
after
considering
a
few,
the
movie
bosses
gave
green
signal
for
Deiva
Thirumagan.
However,
the
audio
of
Deiva
Thirumagan
was
launched
recently.
The
movie
is
said
to
be
hitting
the
screens
on
May
14,
2011.
It
features
Vikram,
Anushka
Shetty
and
Amala
Paul
in
the
lead
roles.
