A
group
of
Hindu
Makkal
Katchi
(HMK)
activists,
who
tried
to
protest
in
front
of
Gautham
Menon's
residence,
were
arrested
yesterday.
The
Chennai
cops
arrested
a
15-member-group,
who
were
marching
towards
the
director's
house.
HMK
has
objected
a
few
scenes
of
the
director's
latest
movie
Nadunissi
Naaygal.
They
have
demanded
the
director
to
delete
the
scenes,
which
showed
mother-son
relationship
in
a
bad
taste.
A
mentally
ill
person,
who
tries
to
misbehave
with
his
mother
is
an
insult
to
the
Hindu
culture,
said
HMK's
secretary.
The
director
has
hurt
the
sentiments
of
Hindus,
he
added.
Meanwhile,
Gautham
Menon
said
that
he
has
not
insulted
any
culture.
He
has
made
the
film
on
facts
and
the
truth.
The
director
added
that
it
is
based
on
real-life
story.
However,
Gautham
said
that
they
have
every
right
to
protest
but
he
will
not
accept
their
view.
