Taking
examples
of
Amitabh
Bachchan
and
Shahrukh
Khan,
the
Hindu
Makkal
Katchi
–
the
pro-Hindutva
political
party
of
Tamil
Nadu
(TN)
–
has
urged
superstar
Rajinikanth
to
become
the
brand
ambassador
of
the
state.
The
organisation
has
demanded
the
actor
to
voluntarily
come
forward
to
promote
Tamil
Nadu.
Kannan,
the
secretary
of
HMK,
said
that
Rajinikanth
has
worldwide
fan
following
and
he
should
utilise
it
to
serve
the
state.
Even
though,
he
is
born
in
Karnataka,
the
actor
earned
name
and
fame
in
Tamil
Nadu.
Hence,
he
urges
the
superstar
to
endorse
the
heartland
of
Tamil.
The
politician
recalled
the
Endhiran
star's
earlier
contribution,
when
he
stood
up
for
the
Sri
Lankan
Tamilan's
cause
and
during
the
proposed
plan
of
'linking
of
rivers'.
Meanwhile,
the
party
is
planning
to
meet
Chief
Minister,
Jayalalithaa
to
request
her
to
make
Rajinikanth
the
TN
brand
ambassador.
However,
Amitabh
Bachchan,
who
is
the
current
brand
ambassador
of
Gujarat,
had
endorsed
U.P
earlier.
Meanwhile,
Shahrukh
Khan
is
all
set
to
become
the
ambassador
of
West
Bengal.
