Kaavalan completes century

By Ramchander

Vijay"s Kaavalan has successfully completed its 100 days run in a few cinema halls in Tamil Nadu. The movie, which was surrounded with controversies, was released with 350 prints on January 15.

From the day one, Kaavalan was in trouble for various reasons. Theatre owners, who were demanding Vijay to pay 35 % of Sura's loss, threatened him during the release that they would not screen the film if he failed to reimburse. Most of the theatre owners also underestimated him and opted for the other Sankranthi releases like Siruthai and Aadukalam.

Kaavalan also features Asin Thottumkal and Mitra Kurein in the female lead roles. The movie directed by Siddique is produced by Aascar Ravichandran.
