Kaavalan's
impressive
performance
at
the
box-office
has
made
the
theatre
owners
to
eat
their
own
words,
as
they
had
underestimated
the
movie
before
its
release.
The
movie,
which
was
released
on
January
15,
is
still
running
full
houses
in
most
of
the
theatres
in
Tamil
Nadu.
Kaavalan
faced
many
troubles
during
the
making
of
the
film
and
while
releasing
the
film.
Theatre
owners,
who
were
demanding
Vijay
to
to
pay
35
%
of
Sura's
loss,
threatened
him
during
release
that
they
would
not
screen
the
film
if
he
failed
to
reimburse.
They
also
underestimated
the
movie
stating
Vijay's
series
of
flops.
Finally,
after
Vijay's
interference
the
movie
got
350
screens
for
the
release,
which
is
said
to
be
very
less
considering
the
actor's
earlier
releases.
Meanwhile,
its
first
week
collection
was
not
up
to
the
mark
and
it
received
mixed
response
from
the
critics.
But
the
movie
has
done
well
in
the
second
week,
says
report.
