Karikalan Chola era to be recreated

The makers of forthcoming Tamil film, Karikalan seem to be not worried about the budget, as they are passionately involved in the filmmaking. The movie bosses are meeting the demands of the script without any hesitation to make the movie a masterpiece.

Sources say that director LI Kannan is creating exact replicas of the ancient port city, Kaveripattinam and the capital of the early Cholas, Urayur. The filmmaker is making best possible use of historical books and experts to know about the 2000-year-old history. It is said that the producers have to invest a large sum of money to recreate the era of the Chola king.

The excited director explains that he feels happy to work in the forthcoming Tamil movie, as he has got good producers. They have given him a free hand and the movie bosses are to clipping his wings to reduce the budget. LI Kannan is confident that it will be a milestone film in the Tamil film industry. Vikram's Karikalan will also have rich graphics and visual effects.

The first schedule of the shooting has been completed in Talakona forest, Andhra Pradesh. It is jointly produced by SS Vasan and S Parthi. The film has Vijay Anthony's music and N Karthik's cinematography.

Vikram will be seen in the historical role of Karikalan Chola, one of the popular Tamil kings of early Chola during the Sangam period. Bollywood actress Zarine Khan is enacting the character of Velir girl and Rakta Charitra actress, Radhika Apte is also playing a key character in the upcoming movie.
