Karthi's choice of words invite trouble

Karthi's choice of words during a function in Andhra Pradesh has not gone well with Tamilians. The actor's statement on his love for the Tollywood audience has landed him in a controversy.

During an awards function, Karthi had told that he loved the Telugu fans more than any other language audience. It is because of their overwhelming response for his movies and affection towards him. Well, the videos in which the actor aired his feeling is doing rounds on the internet. The Tamilians, who are no less when it comes to showering their love on him, are irked by his statement.

However, Karthi has tried to clarify that he is a Tamilian and the Kollywood fans are close to his heart. He adds that there is no need for him to claim every now and then that we love our parents! However, the Siruthai star concludes that he was a guest in the function and it was only to express his thankfulness to the Telugu audience for appreciating his works.
