Karthi to star in Tanu Weds Manu remake

Bollywood's 2011 superhit movie Tanu Weds Manu will be remade in Tamil. Karthi Sivakumar will star in the Tamil version of the film, which was played by Madhavan in the original.

Reports claim that Karthi Sivakumar, who has already given nod to newcomer Shankar Dayal's Saguni, has given the green signal for Tanu Weds Manu remake. The actor has liked the movie and Madhavan's character in the film. Sources say that the makers of the film are yet to finalize the actress opposite Karthi.

Tanu Weds Manu is a romantic-comedy film, which starred Madhavan and Kangana Ranaut in the leads. It is about an NRI, who comes to India in search of a suitable life partner, and falls in love with a girl, who is dead against an arranged marriage.
