KS Ravikumar reschedules Rana for Deepika!

Deepika Padukone, who is making her Tamil debut with Rana, should consider herself lucky, as the makers of the film are ready to wait for her dates for the prestigious project. Her allotted dates went in vain after Rajinikanth fell ill in April.

Reports say that Rana's shooting plans were shelved due to Rajinikanth's bad health. It affected Deepika Padukone, as she was forced to reconsider Rana to avoid date clashes with her Bollywood projects. But the makers of the film assured that they would reschedule the shooting to fit her dates.

KS Ravikumar claims that the makers of the film had only one actress in mind and that was Deepika Padukone. Even though, she has allotted the dates to other projects, yet she will remain as the leading lady of Rana, as they are not keen to cast anyone other than the Bollywood diva.

However, KS Ravikumar has already filmed a song in Chennai on Deepika Padukone. The regular shooting is expected to start in September 2011.
