Kumki paves way for Sivaji Ganeshan's grandson

Lingusamy's Kumki has become the launchpad of Sivaji Ganeshan's grandson Vikram Prabhu. The movie went to floors on Tuesday at a five star hotel in Chennai.

The story of the film is about a youngster, who trains elephants in a forest. His life changes after falling in love with a girl, says the maker of the film. Bangalore-based girl Lakshmi Menon is pairing Venkat Prabhu in Kumki.

Kumki is directed by Prabhu Solomon and jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala of UTV Motion Pictures and Subash Chandra Bose of Thirupathi Brothers. The movie has Imman's music and expected to release in March 2012.

It may be recalled that Sivaji Ganeshan's grandson and Sivaji Prabhu's son Vikram Prabhu had earlier produced blockbuster film Ajith Kumar starrer Aasal in 2010.
