Mallika Sherawat turns item gal again for Simbu's Osthi

Malaika Arora Khan seems to have a new competitor, when it comes to item songs, in the form of Mallika Sherawat. The former, who has been setting the trend for special numbers, will be imitated by the latter! Well, the Murder actress will shake her legs for an item song, which was famous, made by the 'Chhaiya chhaiya...' gal.

Mallika Sherawat is all set to groove for the Tamil version of 'Munni badnaam hui...' in upcoming Tamil film Osthi, which is a remake of Dabangg. The makers of the upcoming movie has approached her for the item number and has offered a hefty amount for the song. It is said that the actress should be in Chennai for a 5-day-shoot. However, her recent special numbers like 'Razia...' and 'Shallu...' have been well-received by the B-town audience.

It may be recalled that the actresses like Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif, Nayantara, Bipasha Basu and many other names were approached for the item number in Osthi. But they did not take the offers citing various reasons, claims a source. However, the official announcement on this is yet to be made. Meanwhile, the shooting of the movie is in brisk progress and the makers of the film are planning to release the film during Diwali.
